Guardmaster Ferroguard, GD2, Non-Contact Switch

The innovative Ferrogard magnetically actuated Safety Switch has increased tolerance to door misalignment along with the extra reliability offered by non-contact switches. Reliable, this Safety Switch helps to protect your personnel by cutting off power to a machine which is in motion when machine guard or safety barrier is opened. It is designed so that the magnetic actuator is removed from the switch when the guard door is opened, which opens the N/C safety contacts isolating the machines power supply.

The contacts are fully sealed to meet IP68 (NEMA 6P) requirements, ideal for harsh damp environments as they can withstand powerful jets of water and are dust tight. These safety switches also feature protected safety contacts which have internal non-resettable overload protection.

This non-contact safety switch can be used with Guardlink which reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information via Ethernet. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the safety system, reducing down-time and improving the machines overall efficiency.
