High Precision Linear Measurement Sensor

The OLM200 series of linear sensors combines extreme precision and high travel speeds with fieldbus interfaces. These linear measurement sensors can determine an accurate position of product travel paths of up to 10 km in length along a straight line or curve.

The Camera-based systems high travel speed, linked to precise positioning, increases system efficiency and improves throughput. The Fieldbus interfaces -PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP provide easy system integration.

Featuring a highly accurate bar code positioning system with traversing speeds of up to 7 m/s and an adjustable resolution as low as 0.1 mm, output of position and speed data, as well as pre-failure notifications via fieldbus interfaces. The output of position data, precise to within 0.15 mm, the speed output, and diagnosis data guarantees an efficient and reliable machine operation. The intelligent design, offered in a durable magnesium housing, includes a sensor that takes account of the required orientation angles and alignment is only necessary in one axis.

The elimination of moving parts offers a high service life and durability, even in demanding conditions. Suitable for a range of applications including the positioning of electrical overhead conveyor vehicles and vertical and horizontal storage and retrieval units, anti-collision monitoring of electrical overhead conveyor vehicles, and overhead cranes and shuttles.
